BONUS: This edition contains an excerpt from Dean Koontz's The City.

There are no rules in the dark, no place to feel safe, no escape from the shadows. But to save the day, you must...Seize the Night.

At no time does Moonlight Bay look more beautiful than at night. Yet it is precisely then that the secluded little town reveals its menace. Now children are disappearing. From their homes. From the streets. And there's nothing their families can do about it. Because in Moonlight Bay, the police work their hardest to conceal crimes and silence victims. No matter what happens in the night, their job is to ensure that nothing disturbs the peace and quiet of Moonlight Bay....

Christopher Snow isn't afraid of the dark. Forced to live in the shadows because of a rare genetic disorder, he knows the night world better than anyone. He believes the lost children are still alive and that their disappearance is connected to the town's most carefully kept, most ominous secret—a secret only he can uncover, a secret that will force him to confront an adversary at one with the most dangerous darkness of all. The darkness inside the human heart.

ES the horror fan ,

Living proof that a sequel can be much better than the original!

To all of you fans of Dean Koontz’s Fear Nothing, especially those who haven’t read the sequel yet: Are you hoping for a great sequel? Are you anticipating a book as scary as the first? As suspenseful? Prepare to have your expectations exceeded 100%!!! Fear Nothing was terrifying, no doubt about it. Seize the Night, however, is nothing short of NIGHTMARISH!!! Picking up almost immediately after Fear Nothing, Seize the Night kicks off its plot instantly, quickly building a maximum of suspense and tension. Once our heroes make the decision to visit and investigate the abandoned Fort Wyvern, however, the tale becomes a lot more than just extremely suspenseful: Koontz quickly throws his characters—and readers—into one bone-chilling, horrifying supernatural predicament after another! Most horror fans would probably agree that H.P. Lovecraft is the only other writer who could’ve convincingly and effectively put this much supernatural terror and imagination into one work! A masterpiece that I recommend to all horror fans who love creepy, imaginative supernatural horror tales! My only gripe with the entire series seems to be reciprocated by the majority of Koontz fans who have read this series: Hey, Koontz, where’s the third book???

The Christopher Snow books

This is the second time i’ve read the 2 book series. The ending of book 2 seems to leave open the possibility of a trilogy. Pullleeeze Mr. Koontz, we need one more! Love the creepy plot and grew attached to the characters. Very good!

Great read!

This is such a classic DK publication. It has humor, nervousness, and simply weird situations that I need up reading the book again ten years later, and I enjoyed it that much more.
