All of my family are from Coal wood....peaceful beautiful place proud to I'm from there my grandfather worked in the mines along with other men in my family ....My grandma would tell us stories about the boys one of them lived up on the hill house down below hers in #6 holler....

The author of Torpedo Junction, Rocket Boys, and the novelBack to the Moon, he is a retired NASA engineer, a scuba instructor, and a consultant on a variety of aerospace projects. He lives with his wife in Huntsville, Alabama-Rocket City, USA.
