Read as a school book for 6th gradw
I was not too interested in the book myself, but it gave me the feeling that I needed to know what happened. I ended up reading ahead to get over with the book and I’d say it’s worth it. The strong topics hit home a lot. The topics of things like rape were touched on, but handled with care and not insulted. The book was perfect for class, and helped every one learn a bit more about their county, most/all students come from the D.R.
