My friend Laura reccomended this book after I had read Good Omens (another classic), and I was a little skeptical. However, from the moment I turned the first page, I was hooked. I couldn't put it down until I had to eat supper. This book is amazing, satorizing not only the Bible and all religion as we know it, but culture and humankind. While it does jest at religion, which unfortunatly is considered un-PC, it does it in the most intelligent way possible while still giving much respect to its characters. This book will have you laughing with every turn of the page, thinking after each chapter, and even sympathizing the main character in the end after his emotional romance and addiction. This still stands as my favorite book, and I pretty much consider it my Bible (much better anyway). Consider Death: a Life the old and new testaments with a humerous twist beyond conprehension. I also reccomend Good Omens as your Book of Revelations. Over all 5 stars, A+, and a jolly good show. READ IT.

Absolutely hands down THE FUNNIEST STORY EVER!! I found myself uncontrollably laughing aloud in public places. Going to read it again and buy a copy for my bf

It is hilarious beyond all reason, the interpretation of theology and historical content is brilliant and inclusive, it has illustrations that made me curl over laughing, I adore this novel so so much. Definitely in my top five favorite novels.

About the author
Death was born in Hell, the only son of Satan and Sin. He was educated in the Palace of Pandemonium and the Garden of Eden. Since before the Dawn of Time, he has ushered souls into the darkness of eternity. This is his first book.
