Great story
Great story and reminder of our past
Interesting story. Loaded with actual facts.
I've never read a book where the plot has so many twists. If I were this couple I would have given up way before the happy ending.
Candice was a real spoiled brat with no sense what so ever. She gets it together toward the end, but it was a little painful reading as she made yet another stupid decision.
Jack is a typical and obtuse leading man. Loving her but refusing to show it. Also loving her no matter what she did. That was the only thing that saved this book.
Regarding the editing.... lots of typos. Lots of them are pretty easy to figure out, but some were just "head scratchers". On a page in chapter 15 the book cuts off mid sentence and then there is an editing note about page 74 in the hard copy to be discussed in Q&A.
That one was a new one for me.
Overall I'd say it was a decent read. Sure kept me guessing. Not sure the price was equal to the quality of editing or lack of it.
The hardest heart
An awesome book!! Probably the greatest native American romance novel I have ever read!!
