About this ebook

President Donald J. Trump lays out his professional and personal worldview in this classic work—a firsthand account of the rise of America’s foremost deal-maker.

“I like thinking big. I always have. To me it’s very simple: If you’re going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big.”—Donald J. Trump

Here is Trump in action—how he runs his organization and how he runs his life—as he meets the people he needs to meet, chats with family and friends, clashes with enemies, and challenges conventional thinking. But even a maverick plays by rules, and Trump has formulated time-tested guidelines for success. He isolates the common elements in his greatest accomplishments; he shatters myths; he names names, spells out the zeros, and fully reveals the deal-maker’s art. And throughout, Trump talks—really talks—about how he does it. Trump: The Art of the Deal is an unguarded look at the mind of a brilliant entrepreneur—the ultimate read for anyone interested in the man behind the spotlight.

“Fascinating . . . wholly absorbing . . . conveys Trump’s larger-than-life demeanor so vibrantly that the reader’s attention is instantly and fully claimed.”—Boston Herald

“A chatty, generous, chutzpa-filled autobiography.”—New York Post

This book would like to be a timeless guide like Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People" or Benjamin Graham's "Intelligent Investor"; it is not. Instead you have the babbling of a delusional child whom makes no in depth observations but rather just seems like the a kid trying to impress you. This book will not make you a better businessman, it will just be time you wish you could get back. If you really want to learn something about making deals I suggest a Google search because there are dozens of better written and proven pieces of literature.

How can you call yourself a deal maker and file bankruptcy over 3 times? Trump reported losses of $46.1 million from his core businesses (largely casinos, hotels and retail space in apartment buildings) and he continued to lose money every year, totaling $1.17 billion in losses for the decade. In 1987, when Trump published this ghostwritten book he was already in deep financial distress, losing tens of millions of dollars on troubled business deals.

An easy read. I felt Mr Trump was sincere & proud of his accomplishments. He is still not finished with his contributions to this country. He would do great if given the opportunity to turn some of our worst cities around financially. Telling people what to do is easy when you hold all the cards. Business can get quite bullish when everyone wants to lead, and greed is the common goal vs the common wealth and we'll being of the nation and it's people.
