I love hummingbirds and have a large flock of regular black chins, broad tail and rufous after 17 years of feeding. I stumbled across this book online, bought it and inhaled it. What a vicarious thrill to read about lucky plucky Squeak. The best survival a young hungry baby could have with an amazing human. I cried for the same reasons as the author but her goals were exceeded. It was a great success. And I was impressed by the incredible diversity of tropical plants. That was awe inspiring.
About the author
Arnette Heidcamp is the author of A Hummingbird in My House, Bluebirds in My House, and Rosie. Born and raised on Long Island, she now resides in Saugerties, New York, with her husband, George. There she pursues her interests of orchid growing and hummingbird photography.
