I Have Read All of J. California Cooper's Books...They are outstanding! I introduced my daughter to her works when she was 10 she is now 20 yes old and she sometimes read her books over and over...we can never get enough..... J. California Cooper will truly be missed....

Love these short stories by my favorite author; none other than Mrs. J. California Cooper!!!

About the author
J. California Cooper is the author of four novels and six collections of stories. She was honored as Black Playwright of the Year, and her work received the American Book Award, the James Baldwin Writing Award, and the Literary Lion Award from the American Library Association. She died in 2014.
