I'd never made salad dressings before and this was a great introduction on the various ways they can be constructed. I think this book would have something for everyone and I've discovered some real gems that I will repeat regularly. Funnily enough quite a few double as marinades and I've particularly enjoyed the chicken and fish suggestions, alongside salad of course. Highly recommended.

I bought her book simply titled "Salad Dressings" in the late 90s. The book has a special spot in a kitchen drawer (versus being filed on my cookbook bookshelf). It now has many dog-eared pages, scribbled notes, some splatters and stains, and a broken spine -- all signs of a loved cook book! I haven't bought a salad dressing in years and some of my favorite marinades also come from this book. My 5-star rating is for the book I have... I have no doubt "Very Salad Dressing" will equally measure.
