Publisher Description

A Very Easy Death has long been considered one of Simone de Beauvoir’s masterpieces. The profoundly moving, day-by-day recounting of her mother’s death “shows the power of compassion when it is allied with acute intelligence” (The Sunday Telegraph). Powerful, touching, and sometimes shocking, this is an end-of-life account that no reader is likely to forget.

To Read Before You Die

i saw this book on a list of disconcerting but important books everyone must read and it lived up to it’s position there.

A Very Easy Death

This account defiantly makes the reader take a different outlook on death. If you haven’t personally experienced an older family member passing away then this one is for you. However, it is a piece of literary translation which makes some parts confusing for readers that are not culturally aware (maybe that’s a good thing haha).
