This is an excellent introduction to the world of BBQ. Chris Lilly goes into the selection of woods, the style of cookers, and everything in between. You will be never look at barbecue the same again. Unlike a lot of BBQ books that are out there Chris Lilly doesn't seem to hide behind his restaurant's secrets or even the competition secrets. He gives you real recipes that can be used either on the competition circuit or in your backyard. I can't recommend this book highly enough for beginners.

I love this book. It is my new bible. I tried the naked brisket at a wedding...it didnt last. Too good. In october...when the heat is gone i am going to try the whole hog. Highly reccommend this book.
