Well done non-technical analysis of the deficit and debt. The concluding chapter says it all: we have a solvable problem, the political system has dealt with equivalent problems in the past and can do so now. But it is up to us voters to get educated, think through the options, and support politicians who will carry out our preferred solution. I, for one, go along with the one laid out by Johnson and Kwak. As with 13 Bankers, this book shows the worth of truly professional economists. Thank you both for your efforts.
Faulty from page 1
I reject the premise of this book from page 1 that tax cuts are the main reason for our national debt. Every person with a brain understands that continued deficit spending with decreased revenues is the reason for the debt. You can't count on money you will never receive.
