Simply amazing trilogy that was difficult to put down. The first hundred pages or so of the first book are a little tough to get through, but just keep going. Also, since the story takes place in Sweden, all the names of places and characters were kind of blurred in my head, because they're foreign I suppose. None of the above mentioned reasons should stop you from reading these books. They're truly amazing, five out of five stars, easily.

Just finished Hornet's nest in two days. A great, gripping trilogy with uniquely satisfying twists and strangely loveable characters, I'm only sorry we won't have any more stories with Mikael and Lisbeth.

(Harry Potter automatic) Aside from Hogwarts, this is my favorite book series. the ORIGINAL author never dumbed down for the reader for what is a intelligent, beautifully paced, edge of your seat, intriguing at all times, series! I was handed the tattoo when the author perished and I swear his loss is a huge loss to the accomplishments he would have gone on to continue to make

About the author
STEIG LARSSON, who lived in Sweden, was the editor in chief of the magazine Expoand a leading expert on antidemocratic, right-wing extremist and Nazi organizations. He died in 2004, shortly after delivering the manuscripts for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest.
