Very informative easy reading. Starting point with lots of good ideas as a lot had changed since my days on the trail... from equipment to resources. Have tried a few of the recipes at home before our next camp hiking adventure. Basic skills camp craft cooking weather navigation are well covered

This book was a great first read when i first started backpacking and going on extended hikes, even to this day i still and probably always will refer back to this book. Definitely recommended. As mine was stolen I'll be grabbing another copy for sure. Thanks for all of the great knowledge I've learned through reading it.
