these books are bloodydamn good. i held back from reading them because i thought it might be a little YA... they're not and they are fantastic. pacing is spectacular. twists are great, characters great. just a really great series

The best book series I have ever read in my life. Been a fan for years, don't know how many times I've reread the series via the paper versions but I had to purchase the digital so I can read whenever for the rest of my life.

If you loved the first book, and who wouldn't have, then you will love this one equally. Through its ups and down, you truly empathize with Darrow, as well as all his friends. There is much more back story in this book about how this world came to be. And the writing is sublime. I impatiently await the conclusion, although part of me wishes this story continued for 10 more books.
