Incredibly lack luster compared to the other books. I waited in line for this the day it came out, and read it within two days. I was so disappointed with it that I refused to read the last book, until now. It all felt like filler, except for the reveal at the end.

The Inheritance Cycle is truly a wonder. Paolini has the rare ability to bend language to his will, subject it to his every whim and desire, and masterfully utilize it's nuances. So he does in his Inheritance Cycle. I love that he explains the nuances of the Varden's politics and what Eragon's and Saphira's oaths mean for them. It really illustrates the complexity of internal politics. And besides that, I love how Paolini never deigns to explain certain things, leaving the reader wondering forever, such as the nature of Angela and her many secrets and the questions she leaves you with. I would recommend this series to anyone who would listen.

I've been having issues with missing pages. Eldest was missing roughly 14 and so for brisingr is missing about 5. I've tried re downloading but it doesn't work.
