About this ebook

Poppy Louise Littleton is not afraid of anything . . . almost. Fans of Ladybug Girl and other girl-power heroines will fall in love with this spunky character!

Poppy Louise Littleton thinks vampires are cute and mummies are funny. She’s positive a tarantula would make a perfect pet. All her imaginary friends are monsters. Is there anything that will scare her? Her sister, Petunia, is determined to find out. . . .

In this inviting picture book, Jenna McCarthy brings us a new character who feels at once modern and timeless. Girls and boys will recognize themselves in Poppy Louise (and maybe sometimes in her sister, Petunia) and will gobble up Molly Idle’s deliciously cinematic spreads, which highlight the drama of Poppy Louise’s escapades.

About the author

JENNA MCCARTHY is a speaker, a former radio personality, and the internationally published author of several books for adults, a middle-grade fiction series (the Maggie Malone books), and now picture books! She collects hats, speaks really bad French, and is positive she’d be a tennis star if the net didn’t keep getting in the way. Jenna lives with her husband and two daughters in California. You can visit her online at jennamccarthy.com.

MOLLY IDLE (2014 Caldecott Honor winner Flora and the Flamingo, Tea Rex) graduated from Arizona State University with a BFA in Drawing, and soon after accepted an offer to work for DreamWorks Feature Animation Studios. After five years, a number of film credits, and an incredibly good time, she left the studio and leapt with gusto into the world of children’s book illustration! Molly now lives in Arizona with her brilliant husband, two wonderfully mischievous sons, and two snuggly cats. Visit her online at idleillustration.com.
