Pretty solid recipes

I love many of the recipes in this book. I have mostly tried the cakes and they are pretty delicious. I liked the BBQ chicken hand pies. Good base recipe that can be tweaked to your own personal preference. However, I didn’t love the croissant dough recipe. It’s too difficult to work with but love the ideas the book came with on how to use it. Will try them with other croissant recipes I like better. I also wasn’t a fan of the alfajores but overall a pretty good book. As a baker, it’s a great guideline and has great ideas that you can take and tweak or swap out with something else you like better.

Don’t waste your money

Bought the book (on sale). Tried a recipe (pate brisee). It failed; too dry. Decided to delete the book rather than trust any other recipes.
