This review was written by Marie for a guest review post on Ever After Book Reviews blog: 4.5 Stars For starters… Chicago. My favorite city. Bonus points from the get-go :) Aside from the setting, this second chance romance is exactly what Beth Kery is known for. Her ability to pull you from every direction emotionally is a unique talent, and BEHIND THE CURTAIN does just that. Asher and Laila are strong, well-developed characters who have undeniable chemistry. Their story unfolds slowly at first, but when it picks up, you had better hold on to your hat. It’s sexy. It’s steamy. And it’s full of passion (in true Beth Kery fashion!). This is definitely a book you’ll want to read when you have a lot of time, as it’s nearly impossible to put down. ***I voluntarily read a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
