Minecraft: The End: An Official Minecraft Novel (Unabridged‪)‬

One of the greatest Minecraft books I’ve ever listened to. I loved this book so much, there is so mush to to imagine and recreate in your mind. (Edit) I’m making and counter-critique to this “serious rating.” The plot in this may be a little confusing, but the amnesia the two main characters get is not confusing. One can infer that the amnesia comes from the loop that is pretty much what the entire story is trying to explain. I will also state that the book does say that the pumpkins were rotting and rotting pumpkins do shrink, so the pumpkins probably got so tight on their head that the two main characters felt that it was a part of them and then forgot about them due to the amnesia. Another thing I will explain due to some people not getting is grumpo. Grumpo is the living embodiment of chaos which again the book explains, grumpo also tries to make the loop break to save Mo and Finn. All these things I answered were in the book. And for the last question the telepathy also comes from the main characters being pretty much the most known and powerful people in the story’s lore. They probably got the telepathy from studying the endermen so long or just adapting as they have been there a long time. This book is still very much recommended.

I’m weird

i see a lot of people leaving small reviews just saying “i love it” or something among those lines (and to be fair i’d be willing to bed they’re small children), so i decided to leave an actual one.
spoilers for the entire book
for a few things i liked about the book, the world building was great. im obsessed with the idea of the great order and the great chaos fighting, and endermen being more sentient than they are ingame. the telepathy was also a great choice! it makes sense in canon and allows for character building.
now for some things i don’t like. i think, although the world building was nice, the plot itself was not. it had quite a lot of holes, and the ending wasn’t very satisfying. the whole amnesia thing didn’t make much sense to me (you can still see your human under a pumpkin, having amnesia wouldn’t really fix that?? wouldn’t give you telepathy either), and grumpo being literal god is a bit of a stretch. and the fact they kind of blew it off afterwards wasn’t very believable either.
moral of the story is, the worldbuilding was good, the plot, not so much.
