About this ebook

Risk everything . . . for love with thisĀ #1Ā New York TimesĀ bestseller.Ā

What if you couldnā€™t touch anything in the outside world? Never breathe in the fresh air, feel the sun warm your face . . . or kiss the boy next door? In Everything, Everything, Maddy is a girl whoā€™s literally allergic to the outside world, and Olly is the boy who moves in next door . . . and becomes the greatest risk sheā€™s ever taken.Ā

My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, Iā€™m allergic to the world. I donā€™t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.
Ā
But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He's tall, lean and wearing all blackā€”black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.
Ā
Maybe we canā€™t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. Itā€™s almost certainly going to be a disaster.

Everything, Everything will make you laugh, cry, and feel everything in between. It's an innovative, Ā inspiring, and heartbreakingly romantic debut novel that unfolds via vignettes, diary entries, illustrations, and more.Ā

And donā€™t miss Nicola Yoon'sĀ The Sun Is Also A Star, the #1 New York Times bestseller in which two teens are brought together just when it seems like the universe is sending them in opposite directions.

I can't decide wether or not this is one of the best books or the worst books I have ever read. It feels like this book is a strange combination of beautiful and confusing. I want to read it and re-read it, and yet, the story laid out exactly as I thought it would be. it has all the answers, but they're answers I already knew. had I read this book about 2 years ago, I think my mind would have been blown. Or maybe I would have been intelligent enough even then to know how it was going to end. **SPOILERS** Don't read any further unless you don't care about spoilers or you've already read the book. I was dissapointed with Madeline's sickness being a lie. I was upset that they got a happy ending. I don't mean to sound like a pessimist here, but come one. So often the book goes on rants about how important it is to take risks, no matter the cost. But it feels like there are barely any consequences for Madeline's actions, nor her mom's. I think Madeline should have died at the end.

I cried twice reading this. First, when Madeline kisses Olly for the first time. Mostly because my heartache matched so perfectly with her when I first kissed the man I'm currently in love with. The kind of kiss that you know you shouldn't experience but still need more than anything else. Second, at the end when she reveals herself to Olly in the bookstore in New York, because I don't know if I'll ever have that moment with the man I'm in love with. Thank you.
