Edward Norton -- who knew he did audiobooks! -- is brilliant in this short story by Tom Wolfe, one of my favorite authors. If you're into social satire you will enjoy all of Wolfe's works. But get this audiobook just to hear Norton do the southern accents! Although set in the late 90's the plot is surprisingly relevant today, right down to the attacks on the perceived media elite. In typical fashion Wolfe spares no one from his critical eye, not the perpetrators of the crime, nor the practitioners of "gotcha journalism", nor the New York social set. Great for a car trip!

Tom Wolfe is the author of a dozen books, among them such contemporary classics as The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test, The Right Stuff, and The Bonfire of the Vanities. A native of Richmond, Virginia, he earned his B.A. at Washington and Lee University and a Ph.D. in American studies at Yale. He lives in New York City.
