L'Amour is one of the best writers of Wild West novels and short stories of all time, but few know of his books on American History including the Civil War and the Native Americans and first settlers of North America. He has an amazing ability to change his writing style and take on the personalities of characters when writing from that character's point of view. The quality of his books is astounding, especially when you consider that he wrote hundreds!

This book was truly amazing. I just thought,"Wow, I wish Louis was still around to write more short stories. But volume on of these short stories were truly breathtaking." Thank-you Louis Dearborn L'Amour.
