I couldn't put the book down. I wanted to know what was going to happen next! Its a sad, twisted story but I liked it and for the person who doesn't get the name of the book. Its beautiful malice because Alice was beautiful and she was malicious Malice means malicious. Alice A.K.A Beautiful malice. I didnt like the end realy it wanted Mick lol and this book left me with a sad feeling kind of. Great book.

This book could not be pried from my hands! Rebecca James is so adept at bringing characters and their motivations to life, I forgot it is fictional. As teens, two sisters attend a party. Naive and inexperienced, they both make tragic decisions with devastating consequences. In steps Alice. On the surface, she's the best friend anyone could ask for. She's a great listener, so you trust her with your deepest secrets. Alice's disguise begins to slip, revealing a cruel and manipulative malice no one can understand. Who is she? Why is she so wonderfully empathetic one moment and then psychopatically cold the next? I won't give away too much of the twists, but they will have you questioning who your friends really are.

Rebecca James was born in Sydney and spent her twenties teaching English in Indonesia and Japan. She currently lives in Armidale, Australia, with her partner and their four sons. She is at work on her next novel, to be published by Bantam.
