About this ebook

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Can’t get enough of Joe Goldberg? Don’t miss the latest thriller in Caroline Kepnes’s compulsively readable You series, with an all-new plot not seen in the blockbuster Netflix show.

“Fiendish, fast-paced, and very funny.”—Paula Hawkins, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Girl on the Train

NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY MARIE CLAIRE

Joe Goldberg is done with the cities. He’s done with the muck and the posers, done with Love. Now he’s saying hello to nature, to simple pleasures on a cozy island in the Pacific Northwest. For the first time in a long time, he can just breathe.

He gets a job at the local library—he does know a thing or two about books—and that’s where he meets her: Mary Kay DiMarco. Librarian. Joe won’t meddle, he will not obsess. He’ll win her the old-fashioned way . . . by providing a shoulder to cry on, a helping hand. Over time, they’ll both heal their wounds and begin their happily ever after in this sleepy town.

The trouble is . . . Mary Kay already has a life. She’s a mother. She’s a friend. She’s . . . busy.

True love can only triumph if both people are willing to make room for the real thing. Joe cleared his decks. He’s ready. And hopefully, with his encouragement and undying support, Mary Kay will do the right thing and make room for him.

This is Joe's story ... as he sees it. He has moved to a cozy island in the Pacific Northwest. It's quiet, not all that noise and movement and people like in the big cities. He gets the job a lot of us would want. He's now working in the local library .. and that's where he meets Mary Kay DiMarco .. head librarian. He instantly falls in love and he wants to win her heart. He promises himself not to obsess over her ... he'll win her the old-fashioned way. Makes you wonder if he's obsessed with someone before. But Mary Kay is not all that open to a relationship .. at least not with Joe. She has her own life.... she's a mom ... she has friends. it takes two to tango ... and Joe is willing to do what it takes to convince Mary Kay to do what he wants. Having read the first 2 book in this series and enjoyed them immensely, I was expecting the same from YOU LOVE ME. I was a tad disappointed. That being said, this can easily be read as a stand alone. The plot is a good one, there's some suspense. The characters seem a little lackluster. Mary Kay was wooden and Joe was only slightly amusing. The ending was not all that surprising. Many thanks to the author / Random House Publishing Group - Random House / Netgalley for the digital copy of this psychological drama. Enjoyed every page of this book! There were about 3 places in the book where I thought the story will end but it kept going and I'm so glad it did because the twist it took was not one I predicted at all. I certainly hope the author continues this series, I can't wait to see what happens in Joe's life next!
