This one was difficult to follow. I found myself skimming a bunch of the inner dialogue and flashbacks that felt like filler. Honestly, not much happened. Not enough Beast. There was no heart in this one. Just Jane telling a convoluted mess of a story. Not as good as usual.

Faith Hunter writes the BEST female warriors in print. Jane is without a doubt the sweetest, most badass and believable female heroine I've ever had the absolute PLEASURE to read. I don't know how Ms.Hunter manages to balance that line so perfectly when most authors have to choose tough or tender, but her mastery of that trick elevates her writing from highly entertaining, kickass storytelling to something indefinably beautiful that stays with you long after the book is finished. all I can say is THANK YOU,.
