About this ebook

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Party Crasher and Love Your Life comes “a rollicking page-turner . . . It’s funny. It’s clever. It twists and turns. . . . Sophie Kinsella has yet another winner.” (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)

“Sophie Kinsella keeps her finger on the cultural pulse, while leaving me giddy with laughter.”—Jojo Moyes, author of The Giver of Stars and The Last Letter from Your Lover

Poppy Wyatt has never felt luckier. She is about to marry her ideal man, Magnus Tavish, but in one afternoon her “happily ever after” begins to fall apart. Not only has she lost her engagement ring in a hotel fire drill, but in the panic that follows, her phone is stolen. As she paces shakily around the lobby, she spots an abandoned phone in a trash can. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number for the hotel to contact her when they find her ring. Perfect!

Well, perfect except that the phone’s owner, businessman Sam Roxton, doesn’t agree. He wants his phone back and doesn’t appreciate Poppy reading his messages and wading into his personal life.

What ensues is a hilarious and unpredictable turn of events as Poppy and Sam increasingly upend each other’s lives through emails and text messages. As Poppy juggles wedding preparations, mysterious phone calls, and hiding her left hand from Magnus and his parents, she soon realizes that she is in for the biggest surprise of her life.

“Fresh, fast-paced, and fiercely funny . . . Kinsella pens her most lovably neurotic protagonist yet. . . . A laugh-out-loud comic caper.”—Publishers Weekly

“Poppy is easily as charming and daffy as shopaholic Rebecca Bloomwood.”—Kirkus Reviews

“A screwball romance for the digital age.”—The Star-Ledger

Poppy what else can happen ? Oh, yes, that could happen. Poor Poppy, her life is like a tornado of mishaps and misplaced trust. Her engagement ring is missing ! Her phone is stolen but she finds one in the bin, public property. Because of this phone, which she needs to help find the ring- she is tied to a man she does not know because of it. She finds herself immersed in his personal and profession life and quickly sticks her foot in her mouth, more than once. Oh, but she's getting married and she needs the ring and need the phone everyone has that number and...... Sam, the owner of the company that owns the phone is not happy that this stranger has his PA's phone and access to his texts/mail. he gives in when she runs for it, ok he has no choice. She did him a favor when she sings for a Japanese business man to keep him entertained thill he gets there. (funniest scene ever) Really whats one day going to hurt as long as she forwards his mail, right. (snicker) Slowly he is drawn into Poppy's world with her interference (she calls it help) into his work and personal life. Things get crazy complicated, he finds himself in a pickle he never wanted , thanks to his phone thief gal Poppy ! (xxx : ) ) He is trying to run a very large important company. he want s to stay distant. Too bad for him, Poppy has his phone and a link into his life. Magnus, is the fiance'. The one who gave the lost ring to Poppy. The family inheritance huge amazing emerald ring that she lost !??!?! He is a writer, his whole family are writers, not just writer, genius ones. They like to play scrabble and come up with obscure words not seen for hundreds of years. He is a bit of a flirt and floats around smiling and shinning for the ladies. He does seem devoted to Poppy, it's just he's not really a big fan of weddings and all that. The past and present finally catch up and whack him where it hurts his ego. I really love the first 9/10 of the book. There are LOL moments that had me in tears and re-reading them a couple of times. I was disappointed with the rushed ending. It just happened too quick. it was satisfying and exciting but BAM it was there and over. ** great fun reading

Okay book, had its moments. Not enough flirty or romantic time with main romance story, same with can you keep a secrete. I usually get annoyed with too much romantic time but this was just like almost non existant
