Publisher Description
Passion comes with its own set of rules. New York Times bestselling author Maya Banks now proves that breaking them is half the fun…
Enticed to the island paradise where an enigmatic prince is living in exile, beautiful, virginal Talia is introduced to a world of forbidden pleasure where the prince’s every whim is fulfilled and her fantasies are rendered in exquisite detail.
But when the prince is summoned back to fulfill his duty to his struggling country, reality is thrust upon Talia all too soon. She returns home, heartbroken, convinced she was a passing fancy for an idle ruler and his most trusted men. Until the day they arrive on her doorstep, determined to have her back where she belongs.

Unexpectedly Romantic and Desireable!
When this first flew across my suggested bookshelf, I was surprised due to not heavily reading physically intimate stories, or even stories about "Dominant and Submissive" roles, but this was more than enjoyable - it was educational! I had often tethered the term "submissive" with "slave", but that isn't the case at all! Definitely worth the read - certainly changed my perspective and gave me a fantasy or two! ❤️
Contradictory
Exiled seems to suffer from a split personality. On the one hand, the book reads like a historical romance; exiled prince, virginal ingenue, etc... In fact, I wondered, until the mention of a jet, if I'd accidentally downloaded myself into the nineteenth century. Then there's the aforementioned ingenue. She seems to be almost painfully timid and proper, too pure to be true. And yet, after a couple of chapters she's suddenly cursing and claiming to be self-assured. And the ease with which she begins her sexual journey-well, there was very little timidity there. Did I like the book? Yes. Mostly for the good sex scenes. Did I believe the story? Nope. And that's the ultimate contradiction.
