All of the slang and pop culture references detracted from the characters. I didn't really get that old connection back until almost the end. Great ending. I think there's a hint of merging the angels with the Black Dagger Brotherhood.

Immortal by J.R. Ward Genres: Adult, Paranormal, Romance, Suspense 4.5 Stars 💭 Intense. An Awesome Concept. Very well written. 💭 🤔 Makes you wonder where your own Cross Roads are...... 💭 Wasn't my favorite of the series, but it was still excellent. I admit it kept my attention from the first page to the absolute last word. 💭 I can't wait to see what J.R. Ward comes up with next. Great read. I loved that she mentioned the other souls, kinda made me want to go revisit their tales. I don't think it was as intense as the others when it came down to the crossroads but I enjoyed it nonetheless!
