Ben Carson, MD, was raised by a poor single mother in Detroit and is the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Now a Washington Times columnist and a FOX News contributor, he is the author of numerous books, including the New York Times bestsellers Gifted Hands and America the Beautiful. A former member of the President’s Council on Bioethics, Dr. Carson is the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor in the country. He has three grown children and two grandchildren and now lives in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Candy Carson is the New York Times bestselling coauthor of America the Beautiful, A More Perfect Union, One Nation, and One Vote, all written with her husband, Dr. Ben Carson. She is the cofounder of the Carson Scholars Fund, a nonprofit organization that identifies and rewards high academic achievers and encourages students to develop a lifelong love of learning. She is a graduate of Yale University and has an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. A talented musician, Carson has arranged and conducted for several groups, including the University of Maryland Medical Center Chamber Players. She and Dr. Carson now live in Florida and have three adult sons, three daughters-in-law, and two beautiful granddaughters.
Prentice Onayemi began his voice-over career narrating English language learning programs before branching out to narrating audiobooks. In addition to voice-over, Prentice has appeared in theatrical works in NYC ranging from downtown passion projects to Broadway mainstays. He holds a BFA in Drama from NYU and an MBA from Columbia University.
