Linger was a book that really took me by surprise. Both in the character aspect and the personal and intimacy levels in which Lauren creates them. She does a fabulous job researching the true details of the sexual BDSM relationship (outside of club walls) and she brings it into the home setting in a way that follows the true relationship dynamics of such players. The author handles it all very well and she does a beautiful job of breaking the masculine/feminine duo into an honest exchange of power and love. I really enjoyed Linger. I am glad that an author finally understands the workings of that kind of relationship and manages to write it so well.
