Interesting book for those readers who enjoy journey style of reporting. In particular, the author made a lot of enphasis in the personalities of his interviewees. The authorn was able to interview some imoortant figures of archelogy and modern philosophy. The author met with scientists and professionals that were involved in different Atlantis documentaries. All other interviewees were Atlantis researchers. At the end the author doesn't belive in the existence of Atlantis, instead, the author sets the escenarios of Atlanfis in the philosophical mind of Plato. The author gives some credit to Tartessos, Akrotiri and Helike as part of the facts that could influenced Plato in his writtings of Atlantis. The chapters on regards the Phytagorism influence in Plato philosophy and writtings, are very interesting but nothing related with Atlantis. For me the author felt short in his research, missing some new researchers and theories like Georgeus Montexano. The title of this book is deceptive.

Mark Adams is the author of the acclaimed history Mr. America, which The Washington Post named a Best Book of 2009, and the New York Times bestsellers Meet Me in Atlantis and Turn Right at Machu Picchu. A writer for many national magazines, including GQ, Men's Journal, and New York, he lives near New York City with his wife and children.
