I really like the trama, but it's written in an unnecessary complicated way. I feel the author is looking for literary excellence, but falls short

Dean Koontz is fantastic at being creatively expressive. I love his books. He never ceases to amaze me and hold my interest. The narrator was great!

I love how the voice is smooth and easy to follow. I just love dean koontz books

Classic Koontz - kept us turning pages (inserting discs). Lacked some of the humor and metaphoric images we have come to love with Koontz - but still very entertaining.

I liked this book, but it took a while to get into it. I am not sure I would really back it for all to listen to, but not really a waste of time either. If you are searching and need something - OK.

I always enjoy Koontz' books, and Velocity was no exception. The moral dilemma of the choices his character must make is a fascinating peek into our psychology as humans and does what all good books do, encourages us to examine ourselves.

Sorry folks, but this one is a dud for me. Quite forgettable. Half way through the second CD, I packed it up and sent it back.

I thought I owed Dean Koontz a good review after bashing The Taking. I loved this book and prompted me to go back to reading him. If you are looking for a book that is fast paced and easily read, this is it. I love the psychological suspense - as long as I am not the target!

It is Excellent! It keeps spinning and going in directions you could not predict. I found a new Author to read and listen to. This is worth a listen!

Dean Koontz is one of my favorite authors. He did not disappoint in this book. I can't say that it was one of my favorites, however. If you are looking for a real Koontz thriller, I feel this just did an okay job of accomodating. From other recommendations and reviews on this book, I thought it would be scarier. Through a few points, I couldn't put it away, through others, it was a way to pass time. Overall, I do recommend the book, but mostly as an in between book. I am a delivery driver and am looking for things to pass the time. I was very satisfied in that sense, but I think if you are looking to listen while not commuting, choose something else.

A good "read" but not as good as Life Expectancy, The Husband or Intensity. These 3 books will blow you away. Over-all I love his writing style-a thorough psychological analysis of his characters.

I was a bit surprised at that the other reviews I read on this book. I'm not a huge Dean Koontz fan so maybe others have something to compare it to that I am missing but I really liked this book. I found the story very engaging. The author developed the lead character slowly, not in a frustrating way but in a teasing fashion. Introducing the reader to new aspects of his past at just the right time. There were a few characters, one in particular, that did not seem to amount to much or fit into the story given the time spent (on her) but it was not a big deal. I was surprise many times during the story and was never bored. My only criticism might be with the ending. It could have had a little more punch but it was still good for me. I like the narrator as well. I though he managed the many charter voices well providing just enough distinctness for each. Not a must read, but a good solid book. In my mind you can’t go wrong with this one. But I guess that’s just me.

Perhaps I was just expecting too much. I did finish the book but I really cannot recommend it to anyone unless all the other books on their list are not available.

ALTHOUGH THIS WAS A GOOD BOOK, CONSISTENT WITH A KOONTZ READ, I FOUND IT IRRITATING IN THE FACT THERE REALLY WERE NO CHOICES FOR BILL TO MAKE. IT KEPT MY INTEREST BUT WAS NOT AS CLIMATIC AS I HAD HOPED IN THE END.

Love Koontz, did not like this book. It took a while to get to the point which I suppose was the suspense part. It didn't work. There are some books that would make better movies, I think this is one of them.

Slow, Slow, Slow. Way to much introspection and too little plot development. Would have been a good book if half as long. Early Koontz couldn't be beat, now he is gettnig difficult to read and hard to finish.

If it is velocity, it is extremely slow velocity. The title should be viscous. This was not one of his best. I enjoyed parts of it but 4-5 cd's would have been plenty. At least I did not get a speeding ticket while listening on the way to work.

Waiting for CD II and can't wait...CD 1 has me on the edge. Great book so far.

This book was so slow and drawn out that I could not listen to the last set of disks.

Have to say, I usually love Koontz, but this one was just slow, slow, slow. I never give up on books to the point of not ordering the second set of cd's but that was the case with this one. Hope someone else has a different opinion, but in my mind this just wasn't the book I'd hoped it to be.

Crazy thriller. A little preditable, not all of it. But definitely kept me interesed throughout the entire book. I recommend it.
