Tomie is overjoyed because his baby sister, Maureen, is finally strong enough to come home from the hospital. Over the next months, he is in a dance recital and he gets to go to the World's Fair. Tomie dePaola is one of the best-known and best-loved author/illustrators creating books for children today. He is the recipient of a Caldecott Honor, the Regina Medal, and for 26 Fairmount Avenune, a Newbery Honor. He lives in New London, New Hampshire, with his four Welsh terriers.
