Summary
Lisbeth Salander—the heart of Larsson’s two previous novels—lies in critical condition, a bullet wound to her head, in the intensive care unit of a Swedish city hospital. She’s fighting for her life in more ways than one: if and when she recovers, she’ll be taken back to Stockholm to stand trial for three murders. With the help of her friend, journalist Mikael Blomkvist, she will not only have to prove her innocence, but also identify and denounce those in authority who have allowed the vulnerable, like herself, to suffer abuse and violence. And, on her own, she will plot revenge—against the man who tried to kill her, and the corrupt government institutions that very nearly destroyed her life.

Once upon a time, she was a victim. Now Salander is fighting back.

I really liked the reader, no complaints. The book was also enjoyable. A great mystery with lots of pieces that come together nicely and in a fun and unconfusing way. I definitely was tempted to skip over a few minutes and my eyes were rolling with the apparent inability of most of the female characters to had against their desire to I sleep with the male lead. This aspect of the book was not grossly done or anything but midly unsurd, unnecessary and uninteresting.

There wasn't a better way to end this trilogy. Again Lisbeth Salandar rocked and I found myself holding my breath trying to figure out what was going to happen next. This is one of the Best book series I've read, hands down...

More story per page than most writers. Story moves along quite well and kept me engrossed to the end. The entire series was one great story.

Best of the trilogy! Incredible conclusion to a stunning series. It's devastating that Larsson won't be writing more. Vance narrates the trilogy beautifully.

I did not realize that this one, 'Hornet's Nest', was a continuation of 'Fire'. Another 16 cd's to listen to, and I couldn't wait to get to the next one! One of the best I have 'read'. As opposed to some books, or authors, this book did not just quit, everything came together at the end, and made sense!

I thoroughly enjoyed the trilogy by this author. He wove a very intricate web but not to the point of being overwhelmed with people and places. He tied the whole plot together in a masterful way. Each of the characters was interesting and I really liked every one of the good guys. I couldn't wait for the next time that I could listen to each of the books. The reader was excellent.

This was an incredible hard book to read. I'd read his first 2 books, which I enjoyed. However, it had been so long ago, that I just couldn't get into the characters. I recommend that all of this books be read in sequence so you don't lose your place. I actually deleted the Part 2 since I didn't finish Part 1.

The narrator read in a monotone. I forced myself to listen because I didn't have any other books, but it didn't get bearable until the second half. It ended fairly well, but not my taste at all. BORING! And I wanted to yell at the narrator to WAKE UP!

Not as good as the first 2 books. There are some very long and boring parts that discuss the Swedish government....these parts are hard to follow and are frankly, boring. When the action finally gets going again, it really holds your attention. Some of the problem may be that the book has been translated into English and the nuances are missing.

This series was great i was so glad Elisbeth burned her father and put that tatoo on her guardian. I loved how you made her so smart with revenge and not a killer but a torturer. Great mind can't wait to here the end of book.
