overall this was a solid and gripping read – full of tension, emotion and steam.
The first installment is gives the story background and introduces us to Aria: hiding from her father, rebelling against her family, working as a cocktail waitress in a Las Vegas casino. She’s running from / hiding something, and isn’t particularly amenable to men, most particularly men with money.
Sebastian has returned after long absence to the casino his father owns. With his father’s illness and poor decisions prior to his affliction, management of the casino has been experiencing issues. Sebastian’s unusual decision regarding the acceptable behavior from high-rollers after Aria hit a particularly distasteful Russian gambler with a tray meant to hold drinks sets the story for the two to meet, and the sparks fly.
Each installment in this serial is 5 – 6 chapters, a whole book of 250 ish hard to put down pages. I’m not certain I agree with the marketing tactic on this – a single full length book would feel less daunting and frustrating to readers – but overall this was a solid and gripping read – full of tension, emotion and steam.

Review: Play Me #1: Play Me Wild
Play Me #1: Play Me Wild by Tracy Wolff is the first book in her 5-part serial, Play Me.
As book one, this is an introduction to the characters and their history, not a whole lot of stuff (AKA Sexy Times) going on, HOWEVER, there is so much promise of what is to come.
Aria's character is well-established with her "whale" racking incident, and so is Sebastian's with how he handles the fallout from the whole situation, not only with Aria but also with the "whale" that got racked, his staff, and other "whales".
The allusions to Sebastian's proclivities and the sexual tension between him and Aria that just LEAPS off the page, Man, this is going to be a GREAT series. Onwards to book 2, Play Me #2: Play Me Hot.
