Publisher Description

Good things never have to end. Tracy Wolff, the New York Times bestselling author of Ruined and Addicted, brings her eBook original serial to an unforgettable climax in Play Me’s sensational finale . . . for now.

My name is Aria Winston. I’ve fought desperately to escape the seedy underbelly of Las Vegas. Now I’m in control of my own life and my own destiny . . . but my future belongs to Sebastian Caine.

Technically, Aria may still be in one piece, but she’s feeling pretty damn close to broken. While she knows Sebastian would die before hurting her, their intense, steamy encounters have opened up old wounds in them both. Now Aria is considering the unthinkable: walking away again—this time to save Sebastian from the pain she knows her past will cause him. But Sebastian’s the one who set her free in the first place—how can she not show him the same care and compassion? Because, in the end, being together forever is the only thing that feels right.

Play Me is intended for mature audiences.

An interesting wrap up to a quick and compelling story: the characters did build up to complete

The final installment in this series leads right into the Ethan Fox series and Wolff’s continuing saga about Fox and his life. We also get Aria’s secrets out in the open, and this gives added oomph to Sebastian and Ethan’s growing plans for the future. Sebastian also has realized that the future as he once planned it is no more, but with Aria on his side, he can continue to ‘make a difference’ in the world.

An interesting wrap up to a quick and compelling story: the characters did build up to complete beings in a sneaky way: Wolff’s use of first person and alternating the voices with their honest reactions, concerns and emotions worked to add dimension and depth to characters who were at first compelling only in the secrets they held and their electric connection. Covering only a week’s time, these two come to one another as strong and mostly independent people, that grow stronger and more confident as a result of their connection.

Each installment in this serial is 5 – 6 chapters, a whole book of 250 ish hard to put down pages. I’m not certain I agree with the marketing tactic on this – a single full length book would feel less daunting and frustrating to readers – but overall this was a solid and gripping read – full of tension, emotion and steam.

I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Unfinished “series”

I was a huge Tracy Wolf fan but didn’t like the way this “series” was published. This “series” could have been its own withstanding book from beginning to end and with out the cameo roles I had to further research to understand why this book ended the way it ended. I really enjoyed Sebastian and Aria’s story it was very hot but left the book unfinished. Not impressed. I would like half my money back. And just to inform those reading the reviews I have never done one before but the way this “series” was published and no ending with an unfinished “series” compelled me to write this review.

?

I'm so confused. Why is this book five mini books and why did this last one just cut off at the end? Is there another one coming? I usually love Tracy Wolff books but this series is very choppy and incomplete.
