**I received this book from Random House-Loveswept through NetGalley for an honest review.** Aidan is another Club Sin Master who is dealing with a devastating loss. Cora has been at Club Sin for years and has only played with Aidan. I liked what the author was trying to do with these two but when it got to be 70% and were still dealing with the same issues it got to be a little old and repetitive. The playing was fun, pretty intense at times but other than one trip they took that was kind of it. Aidan stayed blind until the end basically. While I understood the things he was going through I thought his process was a little off. His logic for they he dealt with his issues was weird as well. I was baffled how blind he was being for such a powerful Dom. Being that they were playing for two years and wasn’t able to pick up on certain signs was just crazy to me. I wanted a romance between these two that I don’t feel I got until the last 5 percent or so. I wanted a relationship that I wasn’t afforded. I tried to think about Aidan and the things he was dealing with but I just couldn’t fathom him still being the way he was after so long. I liked Cora’s patience with Aidan even though it meant putting her feelings to the side and causing her grief. There was a moment towards the end that threw me totally off. I liked how Kennedy explained the reason but I just couldn’t get behind it personally. Overall I thought Bared had a lot of potential but the progression was too slow and then it was over.

3.5 out of 5 stars on this one. It took me until the last 80 pages or so to really get into this one.

The story is just stupid. I wish I could get those few hours of my life back.
