This book honestly reminds me of Spider-Man (2002) where Peter is trying out his spider-powers for the first time and gradually getting the hang out it. Then it went from super hero origin to a Mission Impossible Spy Novel in a span of a few chapters. It really puts the fight on Bespin in perspective, imagine all of Ethan Hunt's abilities plus a few force powers vs Darth Vader. Goes to show how powerful Vader was. Great novel if you want to hear a P. Parker style narration of it.
