When you can start in the middle and understand the universe it is an excellent book series. I started reading this book then the seventh and then started from the first all over till the 9th! You can get into the series no matter where you start

I've never done a book review. I'm an avid sci-fi/fantasy reader. Harry Dresden and Drizzt are my favorite characters. Kate Daniels is now neck and neck with my two favorite characters. Ilona Andrews is now in my list of favorite authors. I highly, highly recommend this series to everyone! This is my favorite book in the series, so far. If it gets better, I'm never going to go outside again.

Awesome book! Love the Kate Daniels series. Couldn't put it down and am happily surprised that each book gets better than the previous.
