This book was fraught with even more drama than is usually found in an EJD book. The setup of this love triangle automatically clues the reader that things will not end well, and they don't--but the redemption is a nice touch.

Over the last 10 or 11 years I've read, re-read, and then read this again. Always looking for something new, trying to understand the love between these characters more each time. Never coming away feeling dissatisifed. I love fiction, nonfiction, philosophical,self awareness, and etc genres but this book always leaves me feeling immensely happy. I hope that if Eric reads this which he probably won't, but if he does that he knows this is a great one. *snaps fingers* like poetry

I'm going through something similar in my life and this book made me feel normal...lol. I couldn't put it down and I cried at the end. READ THIS BOOK!

Eric Jerome Dickey (1961–2021) was the award-winning and New York Times bestselling author of twenty-nine novels, as well as a six-issue miniseries of graphic novels featuring Storm (X-Men) and the Black Panther.
