Unabridged Audiobook
Excellent book and well read! Enjoyed it
My first Cussler book. Very exciting story, which would make a good movie. I like Scott Brick, and he did another good narrating job.
I thought this book was exciting from start to finish....held my attention the whole time!
I enjoyed the book the story itself is captivating.
Very dramatic. I oved it
Sorry - it's just too boring like reading something from the 70s
I loved this book; finished listening to this in 2 days. It's very captivating. I enjoyed all the characters.
Wow! If I hadn't been traveling through radio wasteland I would have given up on this book after 10 minutes. I usually enjoy Cussler's Dirk Pitt; whatever the situation in which Pitt finds himself, it's a fantastical and humorous ride to hear him solve the problem. But, this story had only a bit of this (the car ride to LA and the train chase) and the story was way too easy to figure out ahead of the reader. Dang! Where's a good radio station when you need one?!
Loved it! my 1st Cussler book and found it extremely enjoyable. Can't wait to read more.
I loved the plot and the action is great. I hated the narrator; many times during the first few hours I was so annoyed I almost quit listening--he seemed to be a Howard Coselle wannabe. I love Cussler, but I won't listen to any more books with this reader.
I love this author and this book had the right amount of action and interesting characters to make it hard for me to stop listening.
Excellent story. Very exciting and full of surprises.
The plot started off good however as it progressed it became weaker. The killer was supposed to be a super genius but gave himself away to the hero. It was a very predictable story line once you caught on to what was happening.
Scott Brick was wonderful as usual. I enjoy every book he narrates. The Chase was suspenseful and exciting. Good 'read'.
I hung with this until the end but some of the plot was pretty weak. The evil killer was supposed to be really smart but he reveals himself. His sister reveals herself. I guess Cussler has never written realistic fiction so I should have guessed. It was a surprise to find that this is not a "Dirk" book. The voice of the narrator really distracted me. He had a sort of smug edge and kept building his voice up and then delivering the sentence as a sort of punch line to an ad. Annoying.
This was great!!!! Highly recommend it..Kept your interest all the way. Couldn't wait to get back in car to find out what was going to happen next..Pretty easy to follow.
