Pacific Rims
The author not just immersed himself in his quest to find out the culture and fascination of basketball in the Philippines but he get more than the experience by getting to know more the ways of life of the people. His own journey in the making of this book comes not just of what he saw, heard, and read but from his own personal experience of dealing all kinds of people from all walks of life and becoming one of them that every part of the book becomes more believable and heartfelt and most of all funny that I just find myself laughing out loud... Just reading this book , I found myself immersed as well in Mr. Rafe's description of his encounters and adventures either in the basketful field or just in the neighborhood...I can't help but picture him walking in the streets and corners of Manila because it takes not just a leap of faith to do that but more so a leap of courage! Kudos to you Mr. Rafe Bartholomew...Hope you go back again to the country....
