Carol Stock Kranowitz continues her significant work with this companion volume, which presents more than one hundred playful activities specially designed for kids with SPD.
Each activity in this inspiring and practical book is SAFE—Sensory-motor, Appropriate, Fun and Easy—to help develop and organize a child’s brain and body. Whether your child faces challenges with touch, balance, movement, body position, vision, hearing, smell, and taste, motor planning, or other sensory problems, this book presents lively and engaging ways to bring fun and play to everyday situations.
This revised edition includes new activities, along with updated information on which activities are most appropriate for children with coexisting conditions including Asperger’s and autism, and more.
Customer Reviews
iBook version is buggy
The iBook table of contents is incomplete and is stuck at chapter 2. As a result all bookmarks of subsequent chapters have the last subchapter at chapter 2.
Also, the info graphics for each of the activities as well as the activity cross reference chart are of low resolution compared to the print edition, making them hard to read - you almost have to zoom every one of them but in return you get a enlarged pixelated graphic. Zooming the charts on every page, which is supposed to be quick reference also makes reading an unpleasant experience. These graphics are very important accompanying information for the activities.
Given that the iBook edition is more expensive than the print edition, users are encouraged to get the print edition or perhaps the kindle edition instead.
Penguin, please fix these issues.
