I haven't read a whole book from beginning to end in a long time. I'm so glad I came across this book I love his family's courage to share there story of the overwhelming grief that happened to them . Thank you and stay strong, God never promised No Storms in life but He did promise that He would be with us through the storm.

I've been intrigued by this case since the first time I saw the movie. People always say that movies, "Hollywoodize" (no pun intended! ) true stories, but I had heard this one was pretty spot on. If you are expecting a ton of new info on the case it's not here. I think the person who is going to like this book are parents who have lost children or people drawn to Susan through the movie. It's HER journey. And that's what I was after. A great tribute to a beautiful boy. <3

What a story! I cannot even begin to fathom the depth of your loss. I'm glad you made it through. Also satisfying to know that your family pulled through together eventually. You are an amazing woman!

Susan Markowitz is the author of My Stolen Son: The Nick Markowitz Story, which details the events surrounding her son’s disappearance and murder, and her desire to see his killer brought to justice. Her story was adapted as the 2006 film Alpha Dog. She resides in California with her husband.
