I had some left over birthday money on my Amazon account and searched for a different book, but found this. Immediately after reading the description, I bought it. The immersion in the ancient world and how lifelike the characters are is stunning. Even better, the story is never dull, and the situations that you experience through Selene's eyes are very real and very grappling and make you feel as she does. It is a beautiful story and a beginning of a wonderful trilogy. You get to see a story of someone history has altogether glossed over, and you grow up with her and form bonds with the people in these books. I couldn't put it down. I truly, truly loved it.

Amazing! captivating from the very start,, you wont want to put the book down! this author blens Mythology and Fact very well together, she will alson give your emotions an emotional roller coaster. love it
