I read this book for the first time four years ago and have read it probably four more times since and have listened to it on audio numerous times. This is my favorite historical romance. I am captivated by the love story of Ian and Beth. Both of them are different and living in a world of rules and judgement. The story of how they come together is fantastic but the reason they fight to stay together is what will make you fall in love with them. I love everything about this book.

I had trouble finishing this book, not because I didn't like it, but because it was such an emotional story. I felt for Ian's pain. I'm glad a finished it. This story had touched my heart. I highly recommend it.

Love Ian so much! Love Beth equally. She is very relatable. I wasnt so fond of Hart, but I look forward to reading the rest of the family!
