About this ebook

#1 New York Times bestselling author J. D. Robb presents an intense and terrifying case for New York homicide cop Eve Dallas: one that will take her all the way to the city that named her—and plunge her into the nightmares of her childhood...

When a monster named Isaac McQueen—taken down by Eve back in her uniform days—escapes from Rikers, he has two things in mind. One is to take up where he left off, abducting young victims and leaving them scarred in both mind and body. The other is to get revenge on the woman who stopped him all those years ago.

I love every single Eve Dallas book. But there's something a tad different about this story that had me on the edge if my seat, spine tingling, nail gnawing, dying to see not only the end, but also how new turn would develop, what new thrill or mystery each flip of the page would bring me!

JD Robb books get better and better. The characters have evolved into their own as the books have unfolded. Eve is tough as nails but also very vulnerable. This makes her easy to identify with. And Roarke is out of this world. Wish he was real, and all mine as he is hers.
