About the author

Elizabeth Mansfield, a pseudonym for author Paula Schwartz (1925–2003), was an award-winning and national bestselling author of over 40 novels. She was best known for her Regency romances for which she won a Walden Books' award. Schwartz was also a teacher of dramatic arts, a professor of English, a playwright, an actor, and a director.
