About the author

Dr. Suzanne Steinbaum is an attending cardiologist and the Director of Women and Heart Disease of Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Trained as a D.O. and board certified as an M.D., she combines both the holistic approach of osteopathy with conventional medicine. Dr. Steinbaum has lectured nationally on cardiovascular health and has been featured regularly as an expert on heart health and women on ABC, NBC, CBS, The Early Show, The Doctors, and has appeared on Good Morning America and 20/20. She is a National Volunteer with the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women campaign. Dr. Steinbaum lives in New York City with her son, Spencer.
